September 7, 2007, Newsletter Issue #23: Criminal Justice Degree/School Accreditation

Tip of the Week

Get-Criminal-Justice-Degree.com Tip: Accreditation is an essential component to consider when you begin to select a school or program that offers a criminal justice degree. It is an important and even essential part of every degree program in the field, from certification programs all the way to PhD programs. Be sure that you choose an accredited online criminal justice degree program.

If the school is not accredited, chances are it is either too new (in the approval process) or has not met the necessary national requirements. Either way, if your school does not offer this component, chances are that you will not qualify for future licensing exams or even job opportunities that interest you.
